  • Lack of self confidence

  • Lack of friends through Bullying
  • Not reaching academic potential

KA was referred to Think Fast programme in the Hope that the academy could improve his overall attendance in school. KA is a bright young man with a wonderful disposition however has really suffered with confidence and feeling socially accepted by his peers in school due to concerns over his weight.

KA achieved 100% attendance during his time at Think Fast Academy. He received continual praise from staff on how mature and intelligent his contribution to each of the positive mind sessions were. KA gained so much from the guest speaker programme he felt he was in a safe space away from school and family to ask questions and gain the support needed. He also quickly learned to accept the consequences of not going to school for himself and family.

KA really made every effort to work with staff in the Boxing which led to discussions surrounding diet and nutrition. The Academy made protein and nutritious smoothies and attempted to really work on building his confidence to feel more motivated about himself.

KA has now started year 10. Since leaving ThinkFast his attendance has increased to 58% As a school we are pleased to see the improved levels of confidence and friendships. His mum has personally visited and wrote to the academy to thank them for the improvements in which she has seen in her son’s mood.

This course has allowed are pupils time to re-engage with school and see positives in their lives. The staff at Think Fast are outstanding in all they do for the students, putting all their individual needs first. They are flexible and willing to help any day or time for the interests and support of the students. We have already booked another Cohort in and will continue to work with ThinkFast as it has made a huge impact on the student and their families.
