Sunday, 2nd February 2025 was a big team group day for St.Helens Women, with a physically challenging boxing gym session, lunch out together, and watching Liverpool FC Women in action!
It was a very busy team day for the Saints Women, one that will have been brilliant for team bonding and connection building.
Head Coaches Craig Richards and Derek Hardman took the team to visit world-class boxer Martin Murray’s Think Fast Gym.

As Pre-Season rolls on for our Reserves and Academy St.Helens players, the intensity stepped up with a visit to world-class boxer Martin Murray's Think Fast Academy Gym.
As a winner of 11 different belts during his boxing career, Martin Murray is a proud St Helens native and strongly supports both the Club and our local community.
In his career Murray held the WBA Interim Middleweight title from 2011 to 2014, as well as the British and Commonwealth Middleweight titles between 2010 and 2012. He also challenged for a world title on five occasions as well.
A fantastic facility, our Under 18 and Reserve Saints got the chance to be away from the field and work exceptionally hard with different kinds of fitness drills and exercises.
The opportunity to train at Murray’s gym also gave our young men a taste of another sport, as they continue preparations for the 2025 Academy and Reserves Championship seasons.
We would like to say a big thank you to Dom and Martin for allowing us to visit the gym, and for the session!
